Ok, so this is the second book in a row that isn't a novel, but once again it's very well written and easy to read and so I'm counting it. Besides, I lived in Malawi as a kid and my earliest memories of life come from there, it's only natural that I'd take an interest. I was given four books for Christmas/Birthday and three of them were by Arturo Pérez-Reverte. So, to break them up a bit and make them last longer I thought I'd read some classics inbetween. This isn't normally a book I would read, but my mother is a Cadfael fan, and several years ago I got it for her on the recommendation of someone in a Waterstones, who realised the Cadfaels I was buying were presents and in smooth piece of salesmanship persuaded me to take give her a Michael Jecks too, as she would love it.
